Day 1 -- ISO 45001 Standard Requirements

Deep review of all ten clauses: context of organisation, leadership, planning, support, operation, performance evaluation and improvement. Practical exercises map real workplace situations to specific clause requirements. Special attention to Clause 6 (planning for risks and opportunities) and Clause 8 (operational control), where most non-conformances appear in Jubail industrial site audits. 

Day 2 -- Audit Planning and Preparation

How to develop an audit programme, set audit objectives, scope and criteria, prepare audit checklists, and plan audit team assignments. 

Day 3 -- Conducting the Audit

How to manage auditee cooperation when records are incomplete or interviewees are evasive. Role-play of an audit opening meeting and on-site walkthrough against an industrial case study, with trainer feedback on evidence gathering, questioning technique, and keeping the audit on schedule. Participants also cover how to document observations accurately during a live walkthrough without disrupting site operations or creating tension with operational staff.



Day 4 -- Findings, NCRs and Closing Meetings

Classifying and communicating findings, writing non-conformance reports that are specific and actionable rather than vague, conducting closing meetings, and managing auditee responses professionally. Full audit role-play with NCR writing exercise assessed by the trainer. Common NCR writing mistakes are reviewed: missing clause references, vague language, and corrective actions that address symptoms rather than the root cause of the non-conformance.



Day 5 -- Follow-Up, Certification and Exam

Corrective action follow-up processes, audit report sign-off, managing the certification body relationship, and surveillance audit cycles. Written examination on ISO 45001 standard requirements and audit principles. Pass mark 70%. Candidates who pass receive the ISO 45001 Lead Auditor certificate from PITC KSA within five working days.
