🏭 On-Site Corporate Training

Q: Is fire safety training mandatory in Saudi Arabia?

A: Civil Defense requires designated fire wardens to be trained. Fire safety awareness training is strongly recommended for all employees. Fire drills are mandatory (minimum 2x per year).

Q: How often do we need to renew fire safety training?

A: Certificates valid for 2 years (most modules) or 3 years (fire risk assessment). We recommend annual refresher training to maintain skills.

Q: Is live fire training safe?

A: Absolutely. We use controlled propane-fueled fire training equipment designed for safety training. Fires are contained and supervised by experienced instructors. We’ve trained thousands with zero incidents.

Q: Can we train just specific modules or must we take comprehensive program?

A: You can choose any modules you need. Comprehensive program offers best value (25% discount) and complete coverage, but modular approach lets you focus on specific needs.

Q. Can we get training records for labor inspector compliance?

Yes. We provide:

  • Signed training attendance sheets
  • Individual certificates for each trained worker
  • Training content summary (what was taught)
  • Trainer credentials

These documents prove compliance with Saudi labor law PPE training requirements.

Q: Do all employees need fire safety training?

A: At minimum, we recommend Module 4 (Fire Extinguisher) and Module 5 (Emergency Evacuation) for ALL employees. Designated fire wardens need comprehensive training.

Q: Can you train at our facility?

A: Yes. For 10+ employees, we bring all equipment (including live fire training setup) to your location anywhere in Saudi Arabia.

Q: What if we don't have outdoor space for live fire training?

A: We need approximately 10m x 10m outdoor area (parking lot, yard). If you have no suitable space, we can arrange training at nearby location or our training facility.

Q: Do you help with fire drill planning?

A: Yes. For corporate clients, we provide fire drill planning templates and can facilitate actual fire drills at your facility.

Q: Will training help us pass Civil Defense inspections?

A: Yes. Our training covers all Civil Defense requirements. Companies that train staff consistently pass inspections without violations.

Why Local Certificates Aren't Enough

Saudi Arabia’s construction and industrial sectors are dominated by international companies:

  • US and European engineering firms manage mega-projects
  • South Korean and Chinese contractors build infrastructure
  • International oil & gas companies operate alongside Saudi Aramco

These companies require internationally recognized safety standards:

  • ✅ OSHA (United States)
  • ✅ NEBOSH (United Kingdom)
  • ✅ IOSH (United Kingdom)

TVTC certificates alone won’t get you hired by international contractors. You need global credentials, and OSHA 30 is the most widely recognized safety certification worldwide.

What's the difference between OSHA 10 and OSHA 30?
                    • OSHA 10: 10 hours, entry-level workers, basic hazard awareness
                    • OSHA 30: 30 hours, supervisors/managers/engineers, comprehensive safety training

OSHA 30 is much more detailed and required for supervisory positions. OSHA 10 is NOT a substitute for OSHA 30.

Is OSHA 30 recognized in Saudi Arabia even though it's a US standard?

Yes. Saudi Aramco, SABIC, and most international companies operating in Saudi Arabia require or recognize OSHA standards. Many Saudi employers prefer OSHA 30 because it’s more comprehensive than OSHA 10 and globally recognized. While not mandatory by Saudi law (except for specific contracts), OSHA 30 is the de facto standard for supervisory safety positions.

How long does it take to receive the physical US DOL card?
                    • Classroom students: Receive temporary certificate within 1 week. Physical US DOL card ships from USA within 2-4 weeks.
                    • Online students: Receive completion notice via email immediately after passing final exam. Physical US DOL card ships within 2-4 weeks after completion.

Cards are mailed to the address you provide during registration.

                    Is PITCKSA's OSHA 30 training authorized/legitimate?

Yes. PITCKSA is an officially authorized NASP (National Association of Safety Professionals) training center. Your OSHA 30 card is issued by the US Department of Labor through NASP’s OSHA Outreach Training Program. This is not a “certificate of completion” – this is an official US DOL OSHA 30 card recognized worldwide.

Do you offer OSHA 500 (Train-the-Trainer)?

Not currently. OSHA 500 (which qualifies you to teach OSHA 10/30) requires separate authorization and training. We focus on OSHA 30 training for safety professionals. If you want to become an OSHA Outreach Trainer, you would need to complete OSHA 500 through other authorized providers.

Our company trains all site supervisors and project engineers in OSHA 30 Construction. We’ve sent 35 employees through PITCKSA’s classroom training over past 2 years. Investment has paid off – we’re now qualified for Saudi Aramco contractor projects that require OSHA 30 documentation. Won SAR 50M contract partially because we could demonstrate certified site management team.

Result: Qualified for Aramco contracts, won SAR 50M project

                      Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA):

Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) is required when entering H₂S atmospheres above 10 ppm, during confined space entry where H₂S may be present, for emergency rescue in H₂S environments, and during firefighting because smoke can contain toxic gases including H₂S. While using SCBA, users should breathe normally, frequently monitor air levels, exit before the low-pressure alarm activates, remain calm to conserve air, and maintain communication with team members. Emergency escape SCBAs are smaller units with a 5–10 minute supply, designed strictly for escape, and require regular practice to ensure rapid donning in under 30 seconds.

                      Practical Component:

                      • Hands-on SCBA practice:
                        • Donning and doffing SCBA (multiple times until proficient)
                        • Seal checking facepiece
                        • Reading air pressure gauge
                        • Experiencing breathing resistance
                        • Simulated emergency donning (timed)

                      H2S Emergency Response:

                      • Alarm activation
                      • Evacuation to upwind location
                      • Accounting for personnel
                      • Rescue procedures (only if trained and equipped)
                      • Notification of emergency services
                      • Scene control (prevent untrained rescuers from entering)

                      Saudi H2S Regulations:

                      • Saudi Aramco H2S safety requirements
                      • SABIC H2S exposure control

                      Why Emergency Certification Matters:

                      For Workers:

                      • Demonstrates emergency response competency
                      • Required for designated fire warden roles
                      • Valuable skill for career advancement
                      • Personal confidence in emergency situations
                      • Ability to save lives (colleagues, customers, yourself)

                      For Companies:

                      • Legal compliance with Saudi Civil Defense requirements
                      • Defense against liability claims (employer provided proper training)
                      • Lower insurance premiums (insurers recognize trained emergency response teams)
                      • Faster emergency response (trained employees act, untrained employees panic)
                      • Reduced property damage (early fire suppression saves buildings)
                      • Employee confidence and morale (people feel safer working for prepared employers)
                      • Business continuity (quicker recovery from emergency incidents)

Civil Defense Inspections: Inspectors check for:

                      • Designated fire wardens with valid certificates
                      • Fire extinguisher training records
                      • Fire drill documentation (minimum 2x per year)
                      • Fire emergency plan posted and current
                      • H2S training records (for oil & gas operations)

Companies without proper documentation face warnings, fines, or facility closure.

Renewal: Certificates expire after 2-3 years depending on course. We send automatic renewal reminders 60 days before expiration. Refresher courses available at discounted rate (40% off original price for fire warden/extinguisher, 50% off for others).

Q: Is fire warden training mandatory in Saudi Arabia?

A: Yes. Saudi Civil Defense regulations require designated, trained fire wardens in all workplaces. The number of fire wardens required depends on building size and occupancy (typically minimum 1 per floor or per 50 employees). Fire wardens must be trained and retrained every 2 years.

Q: How often must fire wardens renew their certification?

A: TVTC fire warden certificates are valid for 2 years. Refresher training required for renewal. Many companies also conduct annual fire warden refresher sessions (shorter, focused on updates and drill review).

Q: What if we don't have outdoor space for live fire training?

A: For on-site corporate training, we need an outdoor area (parking lot, yard) approximately 10m x 10m for safe live fire training setup. If your facility truly has no suitable space, we can arrange training at our Jubail training yard or a nearby suitable location. However, live fire training is essential – we don’t substitute with video or simulation.

Q: Can you help us develop our emergency response plan?

A: Yes. Beyond training, we offer emergency planning consultation services:

                      • Emergency response plan development
                      • Evacuation procedure writing and diagram creation
                      • Emergency equipment recommendations
                      • Drill planning and facilitation
                      • Fire risk assessment
                      • Civil Defense inspection preparation

                      Contact us for consultation proposal.

Q: Will training reduce our insurance premiums?

A: Many Saudi insurance companies offer premium discounts (10-20%) for companies with documented emergency response training programs. Requirements vary by insurer:

                      • Some require fire warden training for all designated wardens
                      • Some require fire extinguisher training for all employees
                      • Some require both plus documented fire drills

Check with your insurance provider. Provide them with training certificates and attendance records to apply for discount. Even without immediate discount, reducing fire incidents and claims will lower future premiums.

Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) Training

Perfect for: Maintenance technicians, electricians, mechanics, machine operators, supervisors

                      What You’ll Learn:

                      LOTO Fundamentals:

                      • Why LOTO is required (Saudi law & OSHA)
                      • Energy sources that must be controlled (electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, thermal, chemical, gravity)
                      • Authorized vs. affected employees
                      • When LOTO is required (servicing, maintenance, repair, adjustment, cleaning)
                      • Exceptions (minor adjustments with machine running – very limited)

                      LOTO Procedures:

                      1. Preparation: Identify all energy sources, equipment, switches
                      2. Notification: Inform affected employees (machine will be shut down)
                      3. Shutdown: Use normal stopping procedure
                      4. Isolation: Disconnect all energy sources (circuit breakers, valves, switches)
                      5. Lockout: Apply locks (NEVER just tags alone for major energy)
                      6. Stored energy release: Bleed pneumatic/hydraulic lines, discharge capacitors, block elevated parts, cool hot equipment
                      7. Verification: Attempt to start equipment (proves lockout effective)
                      8. Perform work: Now safe to work
                      9. Removal: Remove locks only by person who installed them
                      10. Re-energize: Reconnect energy sources, test, restart

                      Lockout Devices:

                      • Locks (padlocks, must be keyed differently so each worker has unique key)
                      • Tags (warning, never substitute for lock)
                      • Lockout hasps (multiple workers lock same device)
                      • Circuit breaker lockouts
                      • Valve lockouts
                      • Plug lockouts
                      • Cable lockouts

Group Lockout: When multiple workers service same equipment:

                      • Each worker applies their own lock
                      • Lockout device remains until last worker removes their lock
                      • Never remove another worker’s lock
